games research

Research Blog 6

One of the more surprising things I found while gathering research for my final project was the amount of positive studies on the benefits and possibilities for engaging in athletic behavior far outnumber arguments against using video games as a viable outlet to perform physically demanding activity.  This has also limited my ability to find counterarguments towards studies that support exergames, so my final paper will defiantly reflect this in the end.  I did find one study in pediatrics that went against the grain, arguing that exergames did not cause children to become more active, and is a study I’ll refer to in my research.
