Research Blog #2: The beginnings of the process. When I begin a research project, I typically like to establish a number of initial key words that relate back to my topic to make my online searching much less time consuming and far more fruitful. The best way to do this is to brainstorm an initial list of 4-5 subtopics you would like to discuss in your paper. For this project my list is as follows:
- Video games and cognitive development
- Video games and skill development
- Video games and the education system
- Video games and the proper balance for optimal results
By establishing this list of subtopics, you are also granting yourself a number of keywords that will subsequently make it far easier for you to find relevant sources throughout your Internet search.
