Research Post #9

A New York Times article goes a little deeper into the research done on violent video games. Like the study in my previous post, most studies have two sets of people, one plays a non-violent game, the other plays a violent game. And again like in my last post it showed that the group who played the violent game was more prone to be more aggressive. But the difference here is that this seems to only be a temporary effect. Studies show that after a 15 to 20 minute time period, this aggressive behavior goes away, only when the mind is stimulated again with the violent games does those behaviors resurface. I find this very interesting, what does this mean to the long term effect? Are there any? Does daily repetitive playing lead to any long term effects?
